“ There aren't enough hot pot spots in San Diego! Hadilao is located in La Jolla and it's always popping! I understand why. The food is good!! I love all the different options they have available. I'm never one for the primary meat. I always love all the extra goodies you can add in like the shrimp balls, spam and sausage. So good! They have different broth. When you're sick, the regular broth is perfect to make you feel better. The chicken plate is good, but it does have a lot of bone in it. I like the sauce it's cooked in. You can order Hadilao on doordash and they have some premade sets that are great! ”

“ I went here for a weekend lunch with 2 friends and we had an existing reservation so were seated right away. Service was quick and efficient too. At the beginning, they offer you aprons, hair ties, moist towelettes, and clear plastic bags to place your phone in while dining. Our server went over the basics and we ordered from an iPad to choose our ingredients and soup bases. There are several ingredients to choose from and they're all divided by their type so it's easy to scroll through the Ipad to place your order. You can also keep ordering more ingredients as needed. For the side bar with condiments and additional snacks, it's an additional cost per person at your table. The ingredients we ordered were of good quality. Ambiance of the place was cool. It's also spacious enough for large groups. Our favorite part of the experience was the dancing noodle. If you've never ordered the dancing noodle, just trust me on this one and order it! It's a fun interactive experience. This restaurant is located at UTC, so there's mall parking. ”

“ I worked at this mall often and I think I will try Haidilao Hotpot. I think if you are having a Birthday or celebrating an achievement, this location would be a spectacular place to hold it. I found that the soup base and create-your-own sauce station, most focused on customization to your own liking. I would take a friend, make an appointment or invite the whole family to be delighted by this new Asian Fusion Restaurant. I found the flavors to be Bold, Fragrant and High Quality Ingredients. “ We came to this location for the first time. We came from Las Vegas and always love Haidilao food but the service was exceptional today so I must write a review about it. Our server Kitty was very helpful. I usually order the same food same type of meat. I didn't know there was a promotion going on and she let us know and fixed it for us. Save us a lot of money and able to try out more food. Kitty was also very knowledgeable about the food and gave us a lot of recommendations. She clear our empty tray and refill water so quick without us asking her to do so. Her personality definitely made our meal much better! I would come back to this location. It's spacious and clean. ”

“ I went to Hai Di Lao on Labor Day and was surprised it was open! Got seated right away for a party of 3. Sam was our server and he was super friendly. Even though we've been to Hai Di Lao before, he gave us some helpful tips and recommendations (the watermelon juice is so refreshing!). The food was great as usual Sam checked on us regularly, especially to see if we liked the dishes he recommended (which we did!). Great service and experience overall, definitely made up for the last time I dined here ”

“ What a great place, as soon as you walk in you are greeted and explained how about the menu. Bathrooms are super clean and customer service very attentive. Our server Ellie was very kind and helpful. She explained bout the types of broth they had to offer and tend to our needs. “ Came here for dinner in a Saturday at 6pm. It was really easy to make a reservation and our table was available even though we were a little early. The servers were so extremely nice! The hostess was nice too. The server explained everything to us, brought us snacks too! We didn't have to go get it ourselves. I really liked all of their sauce options, they had everything! Maybe except black garlic oil that another place has. They also had some fruit, crackers and jelly/bean style dessert. However there really weren't any side options and you pay $3 per person for this. There were many meat options, we tried several and the quality and cut was great. Well worth the price. We also got the fish and that was awesome! We ordered several plates of it. The meat options were expensive but quality was worth it. We got the 4 birth options, tomato, sukiyaki, pork, and spicy (something). I thought the flavors were all amazing! Not too salty like most places. I really liked their tomato broth and would definitely get it again. We all liked the ones we ordered and tasted each others, we all agreed that everyone's was good. Overall we did pay a little more since it's not AYCE, but I really liked the set up, the service, the quality of the food. I may have found my new favorite hot pot joint. ”

“ I've been to Haidilao a few times this year at this location, but I felt compelled this time to write a review. The brisket and tomato soup base are always my go-to when I'm here and the fish tofu was really tasty. And you can't have a hotpot without enoki mushrooms. The vermicelli noodles soaked up the tomato flavor really well. I had enough food to take home for leftovers, which I will definitely enjoy tomorrow. Shout out to Jayden and Minh for making my experience really nice! They brought me a panda friend since I was eating alone and even got me a free sample of strawberry green tea with popping boba, which I really enjoyed. They were also really patient as I needed to add in a coupon after the initial bill was placed, which they gladly helped me with. Hopefully they're my servers for the next time I go! ”

“ Amazing service as usual for haidilao! The setup was great inside - it was a birthday in our party and they sat us with the birthday decor and sang a song. Great place for a gathering. We got Tom yum and pork bone and it was amazing broth. Meats were of great quality. They stopped doing the noodle man so don't expect him there haha! ”
